Governance

Governed by account

Every customer sees only what is relevant to them. Each account operates within its own isolated environment, grounded in the appropriate data, business context, and permissions.

Clear account boundaries

Customer data and context remain fully separated. Information never passes between accounts.

Role-based access

Each user sees the information appropriate to their role, whether they work in finance, operations, or account leadership.

Defined once, enforced consistently

Access to data, metrics, and context is configured at the account level and applied automatically across every interaction.

Embedded Orion FAQ

Common questions from teams putting Orion in front of their customers.

Each account operates in its own scope. Customer data and business context are logically isolated, and nothing passes between accounts. Access is defined once at the account level and applied automatically to every interaction, so a user in one account cannot reach another's data even by asking for it. Orion connects read-only to your warehouse and semantic layer, encrypted in transit and at rest, and is SOC 2 Type 2 certified.

It says so. Orion answers from your warehouse and your semantic layer, so when a question falls outside what it can see, it names what is missing instead of filling the gap. Every answer can show the sources, reports, and KPIs behind it, so your customers can check the work rather than taking it on faith.

From the definitions you already maintain. Orion works from your existing semantic layer, so the metrics your customers see are the same ones your own team uses. You do not rebuild your definitions to embed them, and you do not end up maintaining a second set that drifts away from the first.

Yes. You decide which data, metrics, and business context each account can reach, and Orion answers only within those limits. Scope is set once per account and enforced on every interaction.

Your customers sign in to your product. Orion inherits who they are and what they are permitted to see, so there is no second login and no separate account for them to manage.

You integrate once. After that, every new customer account is provisioned with its own branding, data connections, and access controls without repeating the work, so the second customer costs a fraction of the first.

Orion queries your warehouse read-only and does not copy your data into a separate store. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest. You control the connection and can revoke access or request deletion at any time.
